Common questions from the webinar

In the Literacy Health Dashboard under the category ACT, it has data from 2024-2025 Winter to Spring, which is last year’s data & students. 

Update 12/8/25 - All reports in the Act tab are functioning correctly and all bugs have been resolved. 

Where can we see our healthy indicator school/district comparison to our AEA and state % like we could in the past in a drop down?

There is currently a bug that is preventing users from seeing the statewide view percentages in the Healthy Indicator reports. Panorama is aware of this and working on a resolution.

"Will there be a way to filter students according to their “Math Status” like we can now for literacy? Also, will both literacy and math statuses include FastBridge AND ISASP? Currently, the “Literacy Status” only includes FastBridge, but the state says ISASP is also a factor.

The math status filter was added to all page views in Student Success in October 2025. Panorama will continue to calculate literacy and mathematics status as it has--Adequately Progressing, At-Risk and Persistently At-Risk based on the student's previous status and the students performance on the most recent default screener assessment identified in CASA for each grade at that school location. ISASP data, when available, will be in Panorama, yet is not calculated into the PAR status. Teams may use the literacy and math status calculations provided along with ISASP data to make the best decision to identify student risk and respond accordingly."

Missing indicator bars - my academics, attendance, or behavior indicator bar is missing or blank. 

If your student information system (SIS) is not sending us data, data will not display in Student Success. Other possible reasons for missing or blank indicator bars for academics could be that the records include a blank field for the grade data, or behavior incidents do not include all required data fields, this will also result in missing or blank indicator bars. The behavior indicator bar represents the percentage of incidents based on days, so if your SIS is not sending attendance that indicator bar will be blank even if we are receiving behavior incident records. Once attendance data is present that indicator bar will populate (if there is also behavior incident data). If you have specific questions about your Student Success please submit a ticket to support_Iowa@panoramaed.com with all details and screenshots if relevant.

Did you notice that the goal is 95% on the "percent at or above benchmark" report in the Healthy Indicator Screen tab? This should be 80%. 

That is an error in the display when you go to "View Report." It will be on the list of fixes needed. It should be at 80%, you are correct. The goal line is also incorrect and displaying as 95% when you "View Report" for the percent with growth in the Evaluate tab, it should be 65%. This is also on the list of fixes needed. 

When we go to "View Report" on a Healthy Indicators report it drills down to grade but then displays data by high to low percentages rather than in grade order, i.e., K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 

This, too, is a display feature that we have shared with Panorama for an update to place data in grade order, regardless of percentages within each grade. 

Can you explain the calculation that Panorama uses to determine a "day of absence" and compare that to the calculation used for SRI calculation of a day of absence?

The reporting in Panorama Student Success is optimized to provide attendance data updated daily for the purpose of identifying students with attendance concerns, systemic attendance patterns and progress data to help improve attendance. Other reports such as SRI attendance reports are infrequent and intended to represent outcomes of long term trends. Due to differences in how the data are updated and summarized, results will differ somewhat. Users are encouraged to use the data in Student Success as intended, to improve student outcomes and NOT to try and replicate the summary reports found elsewhere. Student Success uses daily and period attendance records. SRI calculations use the Student Attendance Summary records for reporting. Student Attendance Summary are not imported or used by Panorama Student Success. 

Why are home schooled students and students on alternate assessment included in our HI reports? How can we remove these students?
