Secondary Schools in Student Success

Last updated: July 10, 2026

  • Early Warning System data for secondary schools is available in Panorama Student Success if that data is enabled to be sent in your local student information system (SIS). The intent is to build out a set of data tools for use in early warning systems and MTSS for all grade levels. There is no accountability tied to this. Available data, which will be displayed primarily on the Overview report and the student's individual profile page, is as follows:

    • Daily and period attendance (if enabled in SIS)

      • Check with your student information vendor for assistance enabling these elements if they are not currently visible. We are loading data that is available in the SIS SIF feed. For assistance troubleshooting, please use the Student Success ticket system (support_Iowa@panoramaed.com). Include a specific student example with the district, building, student name, and example dates where there is an absence.

    • Behavior (if enabled in SIS)

      • Same as above, but include a specific example of a behavior incident.

      • The behavior displays are fed by office referral information.

    • Traditional grades (ABCDF and %), other non-traditional grading schemes can be mapped with the exception of standards based grades (if enabled in SIS)

      • Other non-traditional grade schemes can be mapped to risk levels for individual school locations within Student Success. Standards based grades are very difficult to adapt to the data format used within the platform and can only be displayed if a final "roll-up" grade is used for the course. For assistance with mapping non-traditional grade schemes or questions about standards based grades, please use the Student Success ticket system (support_Iowa@panoramaed.com).

    • ISASP

    • Other data

      • Universal screening assessments or other assessments used at the secondary level that have a pre-existing integration with Panorama Student Success can be imported and displayed in the platform. Secondary data will not be included on the Healthy Indicator reports nor will the students have a literacy or mathematics status (ELI and Math Counts Act). For questions about adding additional assessment data to Student Success, please use the Student Success ticket system (support_Iowa@panoramaed.com).
